Legge Steel is a family-owned company, originally formed by George Legge in 1982. Having built a solid reputation as one of Scotland’s most skilful, successful, reliable and trustworthy steel fabricators, the company enjoys continued success, working on some of Scotland’s most high profile projects including Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and Glenormiston pedestrian suspension bridge.
The company’s ability to make the ‘impossible possible’ attracted many potential investors. In 1994, Legge Steel was acquired by Barclay Dougall (Holdings), sitting shoulder to shoulder with respected and renowned civil engineers James Strang and road surfacing contractor R.Lindsay & Co.
Today, Legge Steel has a 30-strong, multi-skilled workforce, competent in delivering a range of steel fabrication services up to and including Structural Steelwork to Execution Class 3 in accordance with CE Marking for Structural Steelwork. The firm now handles a wide variety of domestic and industrial projects of up to 200 tonnes.
Quality, Precision, Skill and Reliability are the cornerstones of Legge Steel. We’re proud to be a major supplier to many prestigious clients and we believe in delivering nothing less than 100% customer satisfaction.
